I saw the idea of using my kiddos thumbs for a Valentines Day gift on Pinterest. Well I put my own little teacher twist on it, using some leftover Valentine napkins I had and I think it came out pretty adorable. Whatcha think?
These are all the supplies you need:
Cute napkins, few sheets of card stock, stamp pads in the colors of your choice, sharpie pen, & a stapler.
I don't have pictures of the actual process because I did this with my students at school.
But they are very easy to follow with out the pictures.
1. Using your napkin as a template, cut your card stock to size
2. Write the saying “Thumbody Loves You” and “Happy Valentines Day” {don’t forget to add the year too}
3. Have the students choose the colors they like and make thumbprints in various colors all over the card stock.
4. When the ink has dried draw eyes, legs, and arms on the body of your thumbprints.
5. Open your napkin making sure that the pattern is the correct way, and staple the card stock into the fold of the napkin.
6. Viola! You have an adorable and QUICK Valentines Day Gift.
