Valentine Gifts for Kiddos in my Class

Found some cute-o cheap-o mail boxes that everyone is decorating lately and decided to join the bandwagon. Here goes:

Using my silhouette I typed in their names in a font I liked ( all of them were free I download all of my fonts were from amandaandkevin.com)
Then loaded my vinyl and let the silhoutte cut it out

Then I add my names to the sides. I decided to add a heart to the front as I thought the name was just to plain. Sorry dont have a pic of that. I love them. The kids will too I think.

Enjoy!

Epic Fail..

I tried, I really did. LOL I had all the ambition, but none of the craftiness. I tried to recreate 2 of my 3 inspiration projects the last 2 nights and BOTH of them FAILED. So yeah, I am not so warm and fuzzy lately. So I was doing really well the the t-shirt pom poms had one of them all wrapped, getting ready to cut, and then when I went to pull the string tight I pulled so tight that it popped, and ruined it BOOOO! So I needed to start all over, but it was to late and I had work the next day. So hopefully I can try again tomorrow. Then last night I tried to finger knit, well apparently I just cannot pull that off. I just cant. I tried and tried and tried. It was a HOT MESS! I should have taken pics of that. That would have been a funny tutorial. LOL I hope I have something good for you tomorrow!!

Valentine's Day Ornaments

I had some left over ornaments from Christmas that were beginning to get a little dull so I thought, hmmm what can I do with these and then I found some cute V-day napkins and got an idea and some Mod Podge :)

Here's what I came up with. I think they are pretty darn cute.

Here are my supplies-

Cut your napkins into strips, I cut mine into strips, then into shorter strips to make it easier to wrap the ornaments b/c mine were on the smaller side.

Take the little top do-dad off the top of the ornament so it will stand up to dry! Then Mod Podge your strips onto the ornaments, working out the bubbles as you go. I even cut out a few circles that were on my napkins pattern. then add another layer of Mod Podge to the top. Let dry.

Sorry, no pic of this step.Add your  ribbon of choice and hang where you like. I dont have a mantel, so mine are on my entertainment center.

Hope you like!

It's a GLEE party!

This past weekend was my friend Rhonda's 40th b-day. We had a B-L-A-S-T! It was also the first time that I was totally in charge of the decor! I was so excited to use my silhouette! Here is what I made: a birthday banner, and 2 entry way signs. Here are the pics, and an awesome shot of the cake done by 2 of my friends as well.

Enjoy! This was so much fun!

I already have 2 more parties I am working on now not counting Ben Henry's in March, I *heart* this!

About me...

Me- My name is Lauren. I have been happily married to Brian for 6 years. We have 2 boys, Eli (3) and Ben Henry (9 months). I am a full time preschool special education teacher.
I recently became secretly obsessed with all things crafty. When my mother-in-law gave me a silhoutte machine for Christmas the obsession grew to an entire new level. I love to create crafty things. I hope this blog will be a place for me to keep all those things safe and also a place to share my craftiness with others.
